Open a new document in photoshop sizing:

Create a new layer.
Select the Circular Marquee tool.

Make a circle (hold in shift to keep perfect) and fill with black.

Right click on the layer to bring up Blending options…

Use the following settings:







You will have this:

Create a new layer and name it topper.
Draw an oval and fill in black.
Create a new layer and make rectangle to fit the oval. Merge layers together.
You will have this shape:

(ignore the selection)
Select the smudge tool.

Smudge the bottom of the topper to give a softer edge.
Right click on the layer and select Blending Options…
Use the following settings:



You’ll have this:

Select the custom shape tool that is a ring:

Make a ring at the top. Then erase some of the bottom (you will be asked to rasterize, say yes):

You can now add designs to the Christmas ornament of your choosing using various brushes.
You will have something like this:

Open a new document in photoshop sizing:

Fill the entire background with black.

Now go to Filter > Noise > Add Noise

Use the following settings:

Now go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur…

Use the following settings:

Now go to Image > Adjustments > Levels…

Use the following settings:

Select the gradient tool:

Use the following settings:

Apply the gradient from the bottom up.
You will have this:

Open a new document in photoshop sizing:

Now select your type tool.

Use the following settings:

Type a letter of your choice. I used the letter J in Arial black font.

Now, right click anywhere on the document and select “Create Work Path”…

You will want to hide the text layer so you can view the path. To do this, click the eyeball in the layers palette next to the text layer so you do not see it.

You will have this:

Change the size of your text to the following settings:

Click on the path, and you will get this:

You may now start typing whatever you want in the letter…
When you finish typing what you want inside the letter, you can change settings of the text by clicking this icon:

It will bring this up:

If you want equal spacing choose justify:

You will have this:

Choose the Layer with the one letter on it.

You may now change the color of the letter.

Right click on the Letter layer and choose Blending Options…

Use the following settings:

You will have this:
