Out of the ordinary Business Card

Monday, October 18th, 2010

Open a new document in Photoshop. 3.5 x 2 inches.

Fill the background layer with a bright color.  I used a teal.

Select the custom shape tool.

Choose a cloud shape.

Place 3 clouds somewhat in the corner of the card.

Select all three shape layers and merge together.

Now use the following blending options:

Your image will look like this:

Create a new layer and name it gradient.

Apply a gradient like the following:

Create a new layer. Name it clouds.

Use the rectangular marquee tool and make a selection at the bottom. Go to Filter > Render > Clouds:

Choose the Multiply layer style.

Select the single pixel marquee tool.

Select a single pixel above the clouds.  Fill with black.

Now use the type tool to write name, phone number, etc.

Play with the blending options as well as the layer style to get a funky feel.

For this effect I used a color burn and a divide layer style on different text.

Now you have your very own unique personalized business cards!
